The "Derby Day Festival" will have the feel of an upscale cocktail party, but open to the public. So come join us from 3pm till 10pm and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, live music, games and the Kentucky Derby. We will be set up outside overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway at the Saltwater Grill in downtown Swansboro. Walk the red carpet and have your photo taken, enjoy a mint julep on the docks, enter the hat competition for "most creative" and "best overall", listen to live music, enjoy decadent chocolates and food ​from area restaurants. We will have the big screen TV's available for viewing the race so no need to worry about getting a good seat. ​Participating restaurants will offer a selection of signature appetizers and dessert items.
